For certain events informative notifications will be directly sent to the customer, without need of an Incident or CRM.

The main question was:

How are the customer email addresses for the notification maintained/determined?Is there any settings in EM which can crater to this.

You can use the Alert Framework for this. There is a standard activity in EM available. The email Address is then stored in a Control Parameter.

I still did not find the place where we maintain customer email address in control parameter.

You must create a control parameter e.g. in your extractor or by sending an event message and as value pass the email adress of the customer. There several examples in the existing visibility processes e.g. Procurement or TM.
