WBS Element Version Released Already Exists

Dear All,

When we create a Project by copying another Project, we get the error message " WBS Element Version Already Exists. Help.

Please search SAP notes with the error message number.

Hi Ahamed,

first, Hope the intended WBS element is not available in the system at that time of save.

Second, did u create a project through assembly processing or movement of project with simulation version...

3rd u can check the standard tables for the existence of intended WBS element in the Database.If its existed obviously it will not accept..chk it..

Hi,

When you are copying project from template then you need to select WBS triangle instead of green tick.

You will enter in the screen wherein you need to replace std WBS with the one which is to be adopted. Then select check and include so that for every activity , WBS element you will find your given nomenclature.

Try this and revert.

When you copy the proejct from another one what is the WBS nomenclature that you get? Is it the same as the one from which you are copying? If yes, change the nomenclature for the WBS use the replace function to adopt it for the remaining project structure.

We have no Issues in that. After the Function -> Replace and when we save, it says WBS element version already exists.

Please search the WBS Element in table VSPRPS_CN, if it exists then you need to delete it.

The Problem is rectified. The Note 1289337 has to be applied to solve this Issue.
