How to create Partner profile

1)Could someone tell me how to create partner profile in file to idoc scenario.

2)How to create RFC connection.

3)How to use IDX1 and IDX2.

For file to Idoc(R/3) scenario. Do i need to make partner profile in R/3 system or the file system?

The partner profile ( we20 ) is always done on the R3 system . You create the partner in we20 in r3 and add the idocs to the inbound

Hi Ashish,

1. U can create partner profiles in WE20 of your R/3 system.

2. RFC connection you can create in SM59 transaction and maintain the user id and pwd.

3. IDX1 one is used for creating a port in your XI system which in turn will use the RFC destination from XI to R/3 system.

4. IDX2 you can have the metadata of the idoc type imported and can be compared if needed.

XI ~~

1. SM59 -- Create an RFC destination for R3 system.

2. IDX1 -- Create a port to R3 system

3. IDX2 -- Import IDOC metadata.

SLD ~~

Create technical system and business system pointing to the R3 system and use this as you reciver system.
