Customer address in Japanese on sales order output

Former Member

Hi All,

We have activated japanese ( Kanji ) address version in SA09 in our system and mainatained the address data for this version in customer master . However when printing the sales order ( sender and receiver countries being Japan ) , the output still prints the default address version instead of Kanji. As per help.sap , standard system supports printing of address verions for japan by defualt. However this is not working.

Any inputs on this ?

Thanks in advance.

I remember, we followed the steps in this document when we activated Kanji in one of our previous implementations. The addresses were printed by standard print routines correctly in Kanji after maintaining in Customer master.

Hi Vishnu,

We have followed the same document, just that we have not yet implemented the exit mentioned in the doc. My question is , for Japanese verion do we need to implement the exit or should it be handled by standard program? Did you implement the exit as mentioned in appendix of this doc ?

Thanks,

Hello,

Are you using SAP standard program/script for the output or any Z program? If it is a Z program, then get the help of your ABAP expert to debug the print program.
