Characteristic Value Assignment in Return Sales Order

Hi All,

I am trying to create a return sales order. The material used is a configurable material. when I go to line item , characteristics value assignment screen and enter characteristics values but when i save it the sales order gets saved but the characteristics are not getting saved. when i got change sales order and see the line item characteristics, they are still not filled.

Can anybody help me with this.

Hi,

This is strange , Did you check CUTABLEINFO for the sales order ? Please check if you are using any user exit as generally it is caused by exit.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. We are actually using Variant Characteristis in Return order for the first time. Though to my knowledge, I am unaware if variant characteristics is related to sales order document type.

Also the behaviour is strange because When I enter line item and select it and then go to characteristics value assignment I can see all the characteristics, but when I change the value of one of the characteristics and save it, it is not getting saved.
