I is not able to open the any link except http://hostname:port. Any further link is terminated with the error shown above.

Need your help in resolving the issue, as the error appears just after opeing any link. Ex: http://hostname:port/nwa or any other. It doesnt even as for the password. I cleared up the browser cache and restarted the SAP and the OS, but the error still exist.

Check from JSPM , if any f the component didn't get upgraded may cause this issue.

Apply the patch to required component and issue will be fixed.

Hi,

1.You can try giving full access to "Everyone" on the portal.Same problem has been addressed in this thread

2.Also,try opening SAP MMC using http://<hostname>:5nn13 and check if it opens up or gives you same error.

3.I get some wiered error while accessing /nwa page from Firefox but it works perfect for me in IE.Try different browser as well.

Hi Thomas,

We had this problem and was fixed after applying Support Packs on all the components on JAVA system. Please use SOLMAN for applying SP as it will provide you stack.xml file which brings all SP on equal level.

After applying SP, the issue was resolved.

Thanks,

Hi Sharib,

we can not apply another SP Stack because this is a box part of a big rollout. But i found the solution:

i changed the values for the login module in the configtool :

switch to confuguration mode

goto Configurations -> authentication -> UME User Store

                            -> configuration -> basic

                                                   - ticket

and change it back to default values :

Dear Thomas,

Hello Sharib,

Error 401 is authentication issue. Please make sure user ADMINISTRATOR password is correct. If Administrator password is not correct or it's locked, activate SAP* (if you don't have other super user) and unlock/reset the password and update the new password in secure storage in config tool.

Hi Siva,

Thanks for your reply.

The error message is displayed soon after opeining the URL, ex if we try opening the URL: http://hostname:port/nwa, the error message is displayed immediately after opeining the link in the browser.

It doesnt even show us the login screen.

Hello Sharib,

I understand. Could you please list out all the activities you have performed as part of post-installation steps?

I suggest you to check default.trc files under .../j2ee/cluster/dispatcher and server<x> paths.

You can give a try by restarting Java server if you haven't done it yet.

Thanks,

Hello Sharib,

Above shown logs are from dispatcher or server default.trc file?

Did you get chance to restart Java and see it works or not?

Thanks,

Hello Sharib,

After starting it from mmc,are you facing any error.

As you said it was working fine, so it means you login into the system after post processing as well ?

Is every thing is green in MMC?

If everything is fine, I will suggest you to check the /etc/hosts file that hostanem entry is there with FQDN as well ass short.

Check if any proxy is there then bypass that proxy.try to login using IP as well as short hostname.

Amit Barnawal

Hello

This looks like your local PC problem. Did you check logging on from a different PC?

Thanks & regards

Hi Amit,

I have checked the SAP MMC everything is green except in the current status: HOSTNAME_SID_10.

For /etc/hosts I have already hade the hostfile entry also. I have tried logging in with IP and hostname also, but the error is same.

@ Bala: I have tried the same from other system also but the error is same.

Hi Amit,

We have used Sun JVM 1.4.2_25 during the installation.

Is it the right one?
