Manually download service definitions

Former Member

Dear,

I need to download Solution Manager service definitions manually because there is no link to SAP.

OSS Note 727998 states the following:

Systems which for security reasons do not exchange RFC calls with SAP.

Implement transport SAPKVSDTAJ.RAR. You can find this transport here:

http://service.sap.com/installations

-> Installations and Upgrades - Entry by Application Group

-> SAP Technology Components

-> SOLMAN SERVICE DEFINITIONS

-> SOLMAN SERVICE DEFS 727998

Unfortunately, I cannot find this transport anywhere.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Dimitri

You have to follow the steps below after execution of SDCCN :

Menu Utilities -> Maintain Service Definitions -> Select 'Delete and Replace Service Definitions -> Confirm this selection-> Confirm that you want to delete the definitions -> Confirm that a new task 'Service Definition Refresh' was created

Take a note of the task id -> Review the log for this task id when it is completed. You should not see any errors for either the update of a Service Definitions table or the generation of any re-import include.

The transport is only meant for customers who have signed up for No connection to SAP due to security reasons example Defence customers. Kindly please follow the standard route of SDCCN and use the SDCC_OSS RFC to refresh the service definitions.

1. Logon to the SOLMAN system.

2. Execute transaction SDCCN.

3. Follow the menu path Utilities > Activate if you have not done this earlier. Follow the system prompts for RFC creation and you should be fine.

4. Then once again execute SDCCN and now follow the menu path

Utilities -> Maintain Service Definitions.

The system will prompt you for the following :

'Delete and Replace Service Definitions -> Confirm this

5. On the SDCCN screen a new task will be created : new task 'Service Definition Refresh' let this task complete without errors.

Hello Dimitir,

I have sent the file to you via email.

It is called 67837800102000002466.zip

@Mateus....I guess you missed where the customer is stating they have no link to SAP.

Therefore SDCCN will not help here without RFC SDCC_OSS available.

Hi Paul,

I performed the steps in OSS Note 727998 and imported the transport in the ZIP file.

Now the problem with post-installation step Enable ESR BI SelfService is solved and transaction ESR_ACT runs without shortdump!

Thanks a lot!
