hi,

Is there any best practices to clean up /usr/sap/<sid>/DVEBMGS<NN>/work directory.

Sarat,

you can also go for zipping them off if you need them for some reference else you can as well delete year old traces too which will provide you some space too.

But again the note Joe is also a good start to work on.

For me any core dumps and age old traces I will delete them off.

Hi Sarat,

Check, if there is any 'core' (dump) file created recently. If yes, remove / move that file immediately. Also., check any old log or trace files and move them to a temp directory, and plan to delete them in future.

find /usr/sap -name core -exec rm {} \;

also, Please check if job SAP_REORG_JOBS is running properly. If is running fine then you should check the job variant, perhaps you have a very big retention period. Try running RSPO1041 program with a short retention period, e.g., 15 day
