Disp+Work running but not connected to message server at the installation

Hi

while doing NW 7.0 ABAP installation,I am getting the error saying that

ABAP processes of instance ABJ/DVEBMGS00[ABAP:MSNOTRUNNING] did not start after 10:00 minutes.Giving up

when i tried "Retry" still i am facing the same issue.

when iam checking from SAP MMC i am seeing yellow color on Disp+ work showing that Disp+Work running but not connected to message server

Help Is appreciated

Hi Hussain,

Could you please have a look at the services files for the entries matching the message server port numbers 39XX and 36XX where XX being the instance number.

Look if there are any other processes running with the ports.

Also check the database connectivity with R3trans -d

Please post the complete contents of dev_disp.

Hi,

Can you post the whole contents of dev_ms , dev_disp, dev_w0 again ?

Dispatcher of SAP ABAP stack is not able to connect with the message server, because the message server is not running. If you can see the log of message server (dev_ms) you will have possible idea "wht going wrong in startyup of Message Server process ?"
