we got the same problem here, but not in BW 7.01 - 7.30 at which the note is release for, but for BW 7.4 SP6.

What to do in this case? Write an OSS-message?

Seems the issue is with the SAP_BW component patch level.

Found some notes.

Note 1350397 - X299 BRAIN in CL_RSR, form GET_COB_PRO-01-

Note 1166241 - BRAIN 299 in CL_RSR, form GET_COB_PRO-01-

But, these are specific to BI. You may want to raise an OSS for the particular issue.
