Universe "How-to" and multisources

Hello BI fans

I am searching for a genereal "how-to" document for universe designing.

Furthermore I have an additional answer, BO XI 3.1:

There is a non-SAP source and a SAP BW source.

If you want to combine both sources, which interface must you take: MDX?

Hi,

"how-to" document for universe designing on BW cude or query for BO 3.1.

If you want to combine data from BW and other source in BO 3.1 you have to use Data Federator to combine data on universe or DF level.

I think there might be this solution, if you design Webi reports:

Example:

Non-SAP source: Universe 1 ("xyz" interface, different interface from MDX)

SAP source: Universe 2 (MDX interface)

As I can remember, long time ago, you can merge these two universes in the Webi query, correct?

Yes you can merge multiple queries in the single webi report based on multiple universe or single universe.
