EWM Delivery Lock

Folks,

We have an inbound delivery in EWM with 29 line items.We were able to perform goods receipt on 28 line items but the 29th line items shows as locked due to which the complete delivery at a header level is locked and we are unable to perform a goods receipt.

We get the following message "Delivery 409 GR not possible due to lock on lien item 290"

We logged off all the users and also checked the locks in sm12 and sm13 and it does not have any entries.

Any help on how to remove a lock will be greatly appreciated.

I think this is an OS level lock.

Perhaps can check the Staging Bay under Movement data tab. This is due to the missing of the Warehouse product record (t-code /n/scwm/mat1). Thanks!

Hello,

Please check the error message as to why item 29 is locked in EWM..We have check button (Just beside delete button ) to check for the cause of error message in EWM.Few of the reasons would be

1.Missing packaging specification for material specific to warehouse level

2.Missing goods movement bin

3.Over / under tolerance limit

It will be more clear once you post the error /lock message you get on click on check button.

Hi Kiran,

Has there been any changes to the material of 29th item, secondly has there been any succesful GR in the past.

Secondly i have seen delivery locks before, it is more to do with the problem with the delivery item particulary with material rather than the locks in general.

let us know the answers for the above then it could be easy to track down.

Hi Kiran,

Do you have the EWM as an ADD-ON or decentralised?

What I can suggest, if you are still facing this problem, without having any knowledge about you setting:

Check the location of the item 29 in warehouse monitor, sometimes, it can be stuck the item on the Resource during the inbound process and you can find it on the Resource as location.

or

Is the Material is assigned any putaway strategy? If it is not, that also can be a problem.

If you can tell us more about your inbound process, putaway process and stock verification on the warehouse I could give you more help.

Please check the stock available for line item 29 , Use report MMBE,MB51 .

dear friend,

it seems to me like more functional issue than technical...but

you would try the foloowing:

1. take the material number from item 290, run MM04 and check out the last changes - may be some critical things were done

2. check out the relevant config (for example, your GR settings) - may be someone did a wrong thing

3. check out the balance of this material running somer standard reports like MMBE, MB51, ...to see the stocks - you would get some interesting figures...

and the last -

talk to you basis specialist - might be some system patches/updates/jobs were run during GR execution - he/she needs to check it out

Thanks but need some help on the EWM side.These ECC transactions do not help in the investigation.

The material is not posted to ECC yet in MMBE and MB51
