run BI template for SM7.01

Experts:

I have installed an SM7.01 which is planned for our SMD project.

Do I have to run BI template to make client100(the only user created client) a BI client? And is this the only

thing needed to make it a BI client?

Hello Jena,

Set-Up SAP BW Client

For performing BW analysis it is must to specify BW client. One can use Solution Manager client as BW client.

Set up a Copied client as a BW Client

1. Copy the Solution Manager client

2. Maintain the BW Client as Logical System

3. Run function module 'RS_MANDT_UNIQUE_SET' by choosing Function Module -> Test -> Execute Single Test from the menu.

4. Enter the BW client as the value for parameter 'i_mand'

5. Execute

6. Check system changeability and ensure that the namespace/name range with prefixes /BI0/ and /BIC/ is set to Modifiable

Hi,

Solman monitoring data gets stored in RSA1 Infocubes 0SMD_PE2H, 0SMD_PE2D of solman but you running BI template is not required in Solman. However, Please make sure you are able to login to RSA1 t-code.
