Solution Manager upgrade 700 to 700 EHP1

Hi All,

My Solution manager now in this level

SAP versions 700

SAP_ABA 700 SAPKA70012

SAP_BASIS 700 SAPKB70012

ST 400 SAPKITL422

ST-PI 2008_1_700 SAPKITLRD1

I want to upgrade it to 700 with EHP 1. For that i follwing upgrade gude. In guide

3.1 Preparing the SAP Solution Manager System

1. Make sure that you have installed at least SAP Solution Manager 7.0 Support Package 15.

2. Update the Solution Manager Content to at least ST-ICO 150 Support Package 15.

3. If you want to use the software lifecycle management capabilities of SAP NetWeaver in the

maintenance optimizer, see SAP Note 1137683.

Above SAP Solution Manager 7.0 Support Package 15 indicating apply support pakage ABAP, Basis upto 15 lable through SPAM or i need to do anything else.

I hope you are aware that we now have Solution Manager 7.1 Sp4 on GA. I highly recommend moving to it and not any other version

for Upgrade to 7.1 form 700, we need upgrade first ABAP and BASIS through SPAM or directly we can upgrade to 7.1

Please admise so that i can start upgrade activity. For this i am following Upgrade Guide

SAP Solution Manager 7.1 .

For:

■ABAP+Java

■Windows

■MS SQL Server

Hi,

You need to use solmanup to upgrade your system to 7.1 version. You cannot upgrade it using SPAM/SAINT.

We are decided to upgrade Solaman 700 to 701(Solution managere 700 with Enhancement Package 1).

Could you please tell me what is the procedure Solution Manager upgrade upto 701.

My current version is

SAP versions 700

Hi,

If you want to upgrade to Solman 7.0 EHP1.

Then first you have to upgrade your solman to SP17, then upgrade kernel to release 701 and then upgrade you SP's to latest available Solman 7.0 EHP1. Here, you need to upgrade using SPAM/SAINT/JSPM.

But I would suggest you to upgrade to Solman 7.1.

I need to upgrade SP level 12 to 17 one bye one (ABAP->BASIS->BW......) through SPAM/SAINT or is there any way to upgrade one time by giving all SP(ABAPBasisAdd-ons ans allrequired pakges) and calculate queue.

Is not correct to update one by one. You have to define a complete queue with all the required components. You should use SAINT instead. You have an option to use a stack XML. Check this note: 1169247 - Additional info for Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 update
