I am new in SAP. want to configure Email on SAP. please guide me in brief.

Hi,

You need to set SMTP Parameters and configure Email in SCOT - transaction

Hello Taimurkhan,

Follow the douments provided by Sravanthi to configure email in your SAP.

You must have SMTP server before mail configuration for external email.

If you face any issues after or in configuration, you are always welcome.

Hello ,

PFB, the steps to configure E-mail.

start transaction SCOT and go to System Status (View-menu or F5)

If SMTP is inactive (light blue circle with red dash displayed on left side) .Doubleclick SMTP to display dialog screen and fill in the values accordingly.

Click the button labelled u201CSetu201D adjacent to the checkbox u201CInternetu201D.

Insert a * (asterisk) in u201CAddress areau201D.

Choose View -> Jobs in the menu and create a new job named u201CSAP SMTP MAILu201D and variant u201CINTu201D.

Schedule job periodically (repeat period: 15 minutes).

Choose Back (F3) twice to return to SCOT main menu.

Choose Settings -> Default Domain and enter u201C<your domain name>.comu201D

Choose Settings -> Confirmation of receipt and choose u201CSAPconnect does not expect receipt confirm. for Internet mailu201D

Test the new SCOT-configuration by sending a mail to yourself in transaction S00.
