Hi, all!
I have a strage case: I created a smartform with a new tech CODE39 barcode and it printed ok.
But i found out that my scanner can't read the barcode.
I tried to print SE73 test preview but i got the same.
The requirements asked for a PDF file download of the smartform and when testing the PDF, it printed another barcode pattern. One that the scanner reads well.
For schedule reasons, i used SSFCOMP_PDF_PREVIEW function, as an alternative from SAP preview (the function show a preview of PDF instead of SAP one) and the job is done.
But i can't find why the SAP barcode print is not working from SAP directly.
Once PDF is ok, i think this is not a code error.
Maybe is a SAP install problem or a Windows's one.
Anyone can help?
Hi,
When creating the spool and print, did you use a device type that supports the new barcode technology? see SAP note #645158 for the device types that are supported.

Hi, Aldan.
Thanks for your answer.
I see the note you mentioned, but I think this is not a device problem.
Here in office, i use a Lexmark X644e for my tests, witch is a suitable SAP device.
A thing that i ddin't said before: we use another smartform (older one, for other process), with a new tech barcode code128C and its normal SAP preview prints a readable barcode with the same printer from the same computer and system.
I checked both reports and smartforms codes but i didn't see any remarkeable difference.
