PC 3.0 Master data transport

Hi,

I would like to know which are the master data that can be transported from DEV PCD Abap Stack to PROD PCD enviroment, I mean data like configured regulations, organizations, processes, configured controls, results, rule scripts.

And also, which are the alternatives to download these data from DEV system that can´t be transported and how to upload into PROD system.

Hi Chemmi,

If you are setting up a new production system, you can use cleint copy to transfer the master data from the development system to production system.However, client copy will copy everything, not only the original master data, but also the changes on them, as well as all the customizing data.In other words, client copy cannot be used for an existing production enviroment.

In other case if you want to load original master data without changes made during testing, then  use MDUG tool to upload the master data into the production system after testing.

For transporting rules and rule script , as already suggested please make use of the SAP note  1539199.

Hi Chemi,

There is no way to transport the Master Data (regulations, organizations, controls, etc.). Only the settings in SPRO are transportable.

To make an upload in PROD, the best way is to use the MDUG.

You can transport Rules and Rule Script. For details you can refer to SAP note  1539199.

For remaining data, as Aldo said you can use MDUG.
