Hello,

i wish you a nice day to all of you.

I need to help with our portal NW 7.0 SP22.

I want to tune the system and in System Administration>>>Monitoring>>>Portal>>>Request overview i see one request that repeats so often.

CAF:GP:MailConnector:run():insideCycle

I found OSS note 1286189 that deals with this problem. However the note is relevant for versions SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SP 14 to SP 17 and we have SP22 I would like to switch off that process.

But before switching it off please could be somebody so kind and explain me what is thi process doing?

i don't want to switch off something about i have no idea what is it doing.

But there was just answer how to switch it off.

Nobody replied him what is this process doing.

I think it has something to do with emails on portal...

But before switching it off i need to know what i will switch off...

I believe these 2 services caf/eu/gp/mail/cf & caf/eu/gp/model are required if you use guided procedure (for workflow). It's true that the Note you found only concerns up to SPS17 where this request might repeat itself every 30 secs. For SPS18 and above, it looks like the request only happens once a day as needed.
