hi,
yes it is possible .
For this u need to execute the CV01n , create a document number in SAP system and attach ur file against that Document number.
For this u need to define the document type, means the format in which u have received that file. it may be WRD, PDF, JPEG etc.
then assign that file in MM02> Additional Document-> Document and that file . it automatically visible in ur Lot.

Dear Janardhanan,
In QM material master make 'QM in procurement' is active
Set control key with certificate requirement, and maintain Certificate type.
Use QC51 for quality cert for receipt.
Use this very helpful link:

hii ,
If you want to attach it to inspection lot the as suggested by Chen you can user service object to attach it. If you attach in DMS you can not link it to inspection lot level.
Or you can use the same service object function in qc52 to attach to the cerificate no for the inspection lot.

Smruti
You could use services for object function when UD
Any file could be uploaded as attachment.

HI chen
Thanks for your solution.
I uploaded one PDF file in service for object in UD screen, but not able to view the same. Getting below mentioned error.
" File does not have program associated with it for performing this action. create an association in the folder options control panel"
For word and excel file it is absolutely fine.
hi,
yes exactly, that's why i suggest u to take the help of an CV01n and upload it against some document number with proper doc. type and store it against inspection lot or against material etc. as per the assigned other objects also.
either u maintained quality certificates as suggested by others in the previous threads, than also u need to attach the file i.e. PDF.
Regards
hi,
to upload the documents from vendor in inspection lot u can use Optical archive.
first u have to maintain material master qm view
1. QM procurement key with certificate required
2. Certificate type (make sure that "enhanced cert. proc." should be marked in config)
then when ever there is goods receipt then system generate an auto number for certificate.
then u can go to QC52 and select the specific certificate n go to edit---Archive original...there u can assign the soft copy
now when u go to change/display inspection lot...environment-inspection lot origin-procurement certificate...u can view the original file.
for optical archive u have to configure the archiving area(following are the steps)
1. SPRO--SAP Web Application Server-Basis Services-Archive Link-Basic Customizing---Edit Document Types
Doc type: QMICERT Class Name: pdf/excel (whatever doc type u have)
2. SPRO--SAP Web Application Server-Basis Services-Archive Link-Basic Customizing---Edit Links
Object Type: BUS2117 Document Type: QMICERT Retention period
3. go to t-code OAA3
Edit Generate---Generate
