Multiple certifictions for a single batch

Is it possible to produce multiple certification docs for a single order line/batch? I can have a single order/batch that goes to a distributor that will sell to multiple customers. Some of those customer require a customer specific certification while other will get the general certification. We will test to the tightest tolerance but need to keep some customer specific specification confidential.

I think this requirement is much more difficult than people realize. I have worked with many companies that use distribtors. Usualy however, when you use a distributor, it is the distributor's responsibility to provide the COA's according to the customer requirements. Its one of the reasons you use the distributor. Typically the COA's reference a delivery number to get customer data for printing address, customer name, specs, etc... since in your case that is the distributor, your SAP system really doesn't have any link to the actual end customer(s). In some cases, the end customer might not even be in your SAP system

The best you can do is to create a COA profile for each actual end customer. Then when you have a shipment, someone has to use the maual COA creation process, (QC20 or QC21) to manually create a COA for each customer, manually selecting each COA profile and manually entering the customer info, (unless you have them set up with a customer number). These then are sent to the distributor. For customer with special spec ranges, you have to set them up with customer numbers or use the COA profile text to include the specs in the COA test name.

Once you have mastered the art of doing this manually, you might be able to figure out how to write an ABAP to step through the same process. But it won't be easy. Nor very flexible.

The best solution is either

1) ship direct to the end customers that have special specs and cut out the distributor.

or

2) renegogiate your distributorship contract and make the distributor do the custom COA's. You provide them with just one generic COA.

Yes, you can have different certificate for single batch/order with combination of material/customer.

You can create different layout for each requirement and assign these different layout to different certificate profile.

Now in QC16 you can assign these cert profile with combination of material & customer.

So now when you print certificate @ QC20 then system will serch for which customer delivery you are printing then it will call relevant profile.

Hope this helps.

Correct. Please follow the steps suggested by NehSAP. If you want different parameters in different cerificate then you can maintain the relevant characteristics in certificate profile QC01/QC02
