You can refer to Chapter 7 - Upgrading Compliance Calibrator 4.0, from the Access Control 5.3 Upgrade Guide document. This document is avalable for download at the SAP Service Marketplace.

Go to http://service.sap.com/support > Release & Upgrade Info > Installation & Upgrade Guides > SAP BusinessObjects Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) > Access Control > SAP GRC Access Control 5.3

Bernie

Hi Prasanth,

that depends on two factors:

- extent of customization in your 4.0 installation

- experience with 5.3

If all you need to do is convert your existing data for risk analysis and mitigations into 5.3, the purely technical stuff can be done in one or two days.

I would recommend starting with a thorough examination of 5.3 features, though, and come up with a scope & plan for the upgrade. 5.3 offers A LOT more than 4.0 did, and you might want to take the opportunity and use that.

Then of course there's 10.0 which might also be an option, as it does not require you to change the platform from ABAP to Java...

Frank.
