MES fundamentals.

Hi all,

Very soon, I'll be joining a MES based project, I have not worked on MES before.

Can some please tell me;

1. What is MES (Manufacturing Execution System)? why is it used?

2. From where can i get more details on this topic?

3. What are the modules which SAP has to support MES.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi,

SAP has a huge portfolio of products which are proposed to the customers.

One of these products is a solution which is a Manufacturing Execution System.

The name of this solution is "SAP Manufacturing Execution".

It is that easy.
