Domain Controller is down

Hello SAP Gurus,

We have 3 system landscape DEV -> QUA -> PRD and our Development system is the domain controller.

We have /usr/sap/trans directory mounted in our Production system.

Could we import the transport requests in the production system when our development system goes for an offline backup.

Please confirm.

Regards.

Hi AparnaJ,

i doubt you can perform transport when domain controller is down.

One thing you can create a backup domain controller, where you can simply switch from prod to backup, and backup to prod.

refer to the link below on how to create bakcup domain controller:

Hello Aparna,

If that transport request is in production buffer, you can import into production when domain controller is offline.

Thanks,

Siva Kumar

You can import requests in the production system only if the TP parameter file is available under /usr/sap/trans/bin and is accessible and the import buffer has the request in the queue.
