source insp. not possible due to rel. status.

Dear Experts,

I want to test source inspection. I have done following:

1. Activated 0101 inspection type in material master. Maintained 01 as preferred inspection type.

2. Chosen QM control key.

3. Maintained Q-info record with release quantity active, source inspection-no GR control, and maintained the status profile in it.

4. Created inspection plan with characteristics for result recording of lot.

5. Created purchase order and released it.

But when i am generating worklist for source inspection lot through QI07, i am getting exception message as comment "source insp. not possible due to rel. status.

Please advise how to get lot.

Dear Sunit,

I had faced same problem,

Problem was with Status profile which i had maintained in QI info record.

I removed that status profile and Problem got solved.

system allows GR even if source inspection is not done which i dont'want.

I dont think, this is related to Status profile. It depends upon "Source insp-GR" field in QM info record.

So, remove status profile from QM info record and you can create Insp. lot from QI07.

I have checked that if i remove status profile then lot can be created in QI07.

But if i remove that, then even without source inspection GR is possible. I already have source insp.-no GR checked in QM info.

Dear Sunit,

the problem is with "lowest Status number" and "Highest status number" which you maintained in Status profile.

1st Check, what is the Status which is currently active, It will be Initial status mentioned in Status profile, unless you have changed the status in QM info.

I prefer to Use status nos as 10,20,30 40 ...... instead of 1,2,3,4.... .

Change "Highest status number" for the status which is currently active.(you can give Status number as its Highest Status no.)

though you have copied QM_P_001, u can change its status nos,highest status nos. atleast give it a try.

hi,

Check status field in Q-Info, it is mainted or not, if it is maintaained than it indicates with supply relationship management, if u don't want than remove the status profile from Q-info, or if was ur pre-defined setting than change status of PO and info- record.

I want to maintain status profile as i do not want GR to be allowed if there is no source inspection.

As you said in that case status of PO and Quality info record are to be changed, please clarify what change in status of PO and change in info record required.

Check the quantity of PO & qty entered in " release quantity active" in Info record.

Try to use date release instead of "release quantity active" ,then check QI07.

Release quantity active is not set in Q-info.

PO delivery date is 10th Jan2012, info record release until date is 16th Jan 2012.

Check the date of creation of PO.

Check the date of creation of QInfo record.

-->QInfo record must be created before PO creation date.

try to remove it & check.

Is there any lot for same vendor material already created.If so then take the UD as accepted.

Gr creation is depends upon "no Gr- source inspection " tick and not on supply relationship status management !

status profile and source inspectin are entirely 2 different concepts

for source inspection u have to maintain followinf

in q info record

Source inspection - 01

Lead time (in days) 0

tick source inspection -no GR (as per requirement)

activate 01 inspection in qm view

no need to maintain status profile and 0101 inspection

now create PO, go to QI07 PUT Delivery Date as PO delivery date ,Opening period (D) 0 and check

create source insp lot

u can create GR for the same PO even if source insp is not cleared

SAP provides restriction on GR if source inspection lot is rej.

Hope this will solve ur issue

If you want to use the "Supply Relationship Profile 1" in quality info record , plase make sure that tick against Ist column Sample(en)/Muster(De) should be ticked.
