BOM Redlining

What is BOM Redlining? How will we do this in SAP? Please help

Hi Sarvana,

BoM redlining feature enables to capture proposed changes (add,modify,delete) to a BoM on the BoM user interface itself(similar to DMS redlining).

Once these proposed changes are reviewed and approved,the BoM is updated automatically. To turn on this,you would have to enable WDA_BOM_REDLINING_OIF component.

Thanks a lot. So, BOM user interface is nothing but CS02 window right? BOM redlining meaning is changing a BOM with a Change number in CS02 window or similar to ECL viewer window, we have BOM Redlining User Interface?

In CSO2,BoM changes proposal is available only in textual format.However,BoM redlining rich user interface is available as an add on component for SAP PLM solution.
