Componet Planning issue in SAP SRM 7.01

Hi,

Client is upgrading from SAP SRM 4.0 to SAP SRM 7.01.

In 4.0, component planning scenario (PM Order) was being used (Adding component from SRM MDM catalogue to PM order in SRM).

Please advise if component planning is still supported in SAP SRM 7.01.

Please raise a OSS SAP message and check with them.

You are talking about the PDP scenario.

Thanks for your inputs!

We have contacted SAP. The component planning part in SRM 7.01 is still supported but SAP missed this component development in SRM 7. Hence many features were not working as well as the required BAdI were not working. SAP is currently working on this to resolve the issue. We have already received multiple notes from SAP and some of the features started working.

SAP is recommending to use component planning in ECC side for ease of use.

Anyhow, we are getting help from SAP side to make this component working in SRM side as well.
