MDM 5.5 SP3 or SP4 on AIX5

Hi MDM Gurus,

I'm looking for any experience with MDM 5.5 SP3 or SP4 installation on AIX5

- recommended database oracle / db2 ?

- any problems on installation or configuration ?

I know that the only one component of SP3 available on AIX platform is Master Data Server is that also correct for SP4 ?

Hello Marcin:

I've personally installed MDM on AIX 5 and I've had no problems at all. Actually the installation is pretty straightforward. Just create an mds user, mds home directory and unzip the server over there, make sure you have enough space for accelerators, logs and Archives.

I used Oracle 9.2 and I just had to make sure I installed the right character set (you can see it on the MDM installation guide) and that's about it.

In SP3, the only component is the MDM server, on SP4 we also have Import and Syndication server

Hi Gurus,

I have a few questions regarding my XI and MDM installation ....

1: Can we have XI and MDM installtion done on the same box using same

hostname.??

2. Can you please let me know as to what should be the minimum or a good

server configuration for a MDM Installation.

3.Also if someone can please provide the configuration steps for a

successful MDM installation or can provide a helpful link where i can

find the confiuration steps.

4. Any realtime e.g of XI interfacing with MDM.

I hope i get to hear from the gurus very soon .
