Hi,

Forecast horizon is the period in which you do not want to consider forecasts for your planning. (One reason could be that you want to plan only based on confirmed customer orders in the short term because of high level of fluctuations in demands or because of inaccuracy in the forecast)

When you choose Forecast horizon in past, you are basically not considering the past forecast in the system for SNP planning purposes. When you choose this your total demand key figure will not include forecasts in the Initial column.

If you enter a value in the forecast horizon (say 14 days) field and also check "Forecast horizon in past", your past forecast and forecast for 14 days in future will not be considered as part of the demand for planning by SNP.
