calculating grade for module

Hi Gurus,

I want to calculate grade from assessments of module.

Example: The module has 4 assessments:

- Midterm 1 (%15) = 70

- Midterm 2 (%15) = 80

- Quiz (%10) = 1

- Final (%60) = 40

Scale of assessments is 0-100.

Scale of module is A-F.

Average grade = 37,585

But the system convert value to 0,00 which is lower limit. The grade fill as F note on module appraisal.

How can i convert 37,585 to C- module grade?

Hello Treasureman,

In SAP you don't define different scale rather you define weighting. Appraiser will use same scale 0-100 but every assessment will have different weighting. System will calculate final grade using this weighting.

For example(As per you scale):

-Midterm1 = 46.67(C)

- Midterm 1 = 53.33(C+)

- Quiz = 10.00(F)

- Final = 66.67(

Calculated final ( 46.67 * .15 + 53.33 * 0.15 + 10.00 * 0.1 + 66.67 * 0.6 ) = 56.00( C+).

Hi Prabhat,

your message can be missunderstanding. It is possible to create different scales for one module. With regard to your example

you may want to use for the Quiz a pass/failed scale.

Than the system would need to calculate on the basis of the system scale (0-100) the average grade including the the passed or failed grade and the grade A-E. Of course you also have to maintain the weighting. Without weighting system won't be able to calclulate as well.

Hi Silke,

Yes, You are right.I didn't mean to say that. In evaluation info-type user can assign one scale(Default scale). But Appraiser/Instructor can also select the scale while grading. They can select different scale for different assessments(mid term/quiz/final).

Hello,

Problem solved by myself. We should define key figure to appraisal template at customizing.

After that system was able to calculated grade.
