Managed System Setup / Configure Diagnostics for Solution Manager itself

Hello,

I'm trying to run the "Managed System Setup" for the Solution Manager itself and

I got a problem in the step 4 (Diagnostics Configuration / Configure Diagnostics):

In the new opened window is only the ABAP stack displayed and the Java stack

is missing.

Does somebody know how to make the java stack visible?

From my point of view seems the configuration of the SMSY ok. The java stack is also

as "relevant" set.

The Solution Manger 7.0 EHP1 is on SP25.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Kind regards,

Joern

Hi,

in the meantime I updated the CR content of the SLD, but it didn't solve my problem.

I still see only the ABAP stack in the diagnostic setup.

I also checked WEBADMIN rfc, the SMD agent connectivity,..., but I didn't detect any issue.

Do you have another idea what I can do ?

Maybe one additional question to the SMSY: The data source of the Solution Manager is set on TMS/RFC. How can I change it to SLD?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,

the source for SMSY synchronization is defined in transaction smsy_setup where you can choose between TMS and SLD. (This will do synchronization of all SLD data to SMSY, I haven't found possibility to update only one specific system)

1) role for the user you using in solman_setup, has all needed access?

2) please do check the webadmin Rfc Connection test s fine?

3) Have you installed diag agents on Solman host, if yes s tat up and running

4) Are ypu able to see the Java Stacks details as a technical systems in smsy?

Hi Ajitabh

I have already done this step. But could it be possible that the reason of my problem occurs from my outdated SLD CIM model (2007)?

Hi Jorn,

I dont think its happening just because of your CR Content.

Still If you want to update it,then go to Administration Tab in SLD->>Import the latest CR Content from there.

As the latest CR Content is :SAP CR Content Version (sld/active): SAP_CR 7.6 (produced 11/17/2011)

And Jorn if you are stucked in the Diagnostic Agent registration then Go to Agent Candidate Administration->>In connection

Parameters Tab go to->>Custom SLD Connection Parameters->>Apply->>Mark the Diagnostic Agent you want to

connect->>Attach->>Give the password of the SMD_ADMIN->>Apply->>This way you will connect to the available Diagnostic

Agent.Hope this will help your problem.

Thanks & Regards

Ajitabh

Hi Jorn,

You have to maintain the systems in SMSY for JAVA as well in Product System;

Go to Product system->>In change Mode->>Tick the Solution Manager AS JAVA as ->>Relevant->>Technical System

Assignment->>Technical System Name->>System Type->.Save it.

In this way you will find your AS JAVA stack visible.

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

yes, I assigned my java stack SID as technical system. It works also for other managed systems but only not for the Solution Manager itself !?

Kind regards,

Joern

Hi,

I assume DAA is installed and configured in your solman?

Hi,

Besides mark as relevant, do you assign your java stack SID as technical system?

Thanks,
