Dear all,

I have Installed ECC 6.0 EHP 5,HP-UX,Oracle 11g.

I have installed 1 application server, it is showing in SM51 that appl server is active but in SM21 it throwing an error called Enqueue: Transfer error while reading lock entries.

CI: eccdbciv_RPV_00

appl server : eccapp1v

log:

Enqueue: Transfer error while reading lock entries

> Destination: eccdbciv_RPV_00

> ENQUE_READ exception code: 8

> Name or password is incorrect (r

> epeat logon)

Enqueue: Transfer error while reading lock entries

An error occurred when copying the lock entries to the display transaction. The entries were copied using an internal table that was written to by the lock management.

Possible causes:

There was an inconsistency between the 'C' programs of the lock management and the display transaction.

The lock management was called incorrectly ( OPCODE = Q )

dev_trace:

A *** ERROR => RFC ======> Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)

Hi Kutty,

Could you also check if there is any other RFC responsible for this error. Best way to run SE38 --> rsusr006

this will give you locked users in SAP system.

As per the logs, I am suspecting on some locked users also.

I would advise you to check RFC from all application servers. Many times it happens that due to missing service file entry, though RFC works from central instance but at the same time fails from application server.

Cheers !!!

Hi,

Can you try below notes

Note 1594347 - User SAPSYS creates enqueue errors in system log

Note 1235681 - SM21: Enqueue: Transfer error while reading lock entries

Thanks,

Hi ,

Thanks for the prompt responds.

My system is abap and ecc 6.0 ehp5.

Note means to apply that correction note 1594347 then it seems the issue will resolve..

Am i correct.
