problems with content server

Hi,

We have installed a content server (without DB) and configured it on OAC0 but now when we try to save any file we obtain this error:

Connection to http://*/ContentServer/ContentServer.: TCP/IP error

Also when we executed the report RSCMST from se38, we obtained this error:

HTTP error Create tab contentstoragem connect error SQLConnect failed

but it´s strange because we don´t have DB installed with the content server, any idea why this is happening?

thanks a lot and best regards

Hi,

Have you configured your content repository using CSADMIN ?

Also share your details in Tcode OAC0.

Hi,

Yes, in OAC0 the repository appears and if I try to create a new one with the same name in CSADMIN the system says that repository exists in the system.

Any idea why this is happening?

Thanks a lot

Hi,

Yes, I´ve installed on windows server 2008 the content server without DB only and no cache.

Then , I´ve created the content repository in OAC0 with this data:

Document Area : Empty

Storage type: HTTP Content Server

HTTP Server: hostname.es

serv http:prt: hotname.so:1090

Script http: /ContentServer/ContentServer.dll

Sent the certificate to the content server.

I moved to CSAADMIN. there I´ve set all the parameters, certificate activation and created the repository.

When I go to the details tab I can check the content server patche level, version etc... also I´ve activated the certificate .

In the content server if set the property security to 0.

I´ve added the new repository to the tx OAC3.

Also I´ve executed the report RSCMST and this error appears: create tab content storage, connect error sqlconnect failed

Thanks a lot

For Document management system , if you install a content server , you need to have the Maxdb database as well , as the content server engine cannot connect to any other database other than Maxdb. Please follow the SAP guide @
