Hi,
We try to import IDoc metadata into ESB in PI.
We don't get connection to the R3 system (4.6C).
Troubleshooting information says:
-Is target system online? -Yes is is we can logon on that R3 system
-Check the connection data; server name and group fields are case-sensitive -We use IP address and systen number.
Tips for administrators (see configuration guide for details):
-Does the user have sufficient authorization in the target system? -The user has SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW in the targetsystem
What more does he need?
-Is the target system configured correctly in etc/services? -We have added a record (with format: sapmsT02 3601/tcp)
Still we can't import the IDoc metadata from that R3 system.
What more is working:
In PI and in the R3 system we have working connections in SM59 (ABAP RFC connection vice versa). We can also use remote logon.
In the abap stack of PI we can import the IDoc metadata from the R3 system by using IDX2.
Why can't we import the IDoc metadata in ESB in PI??
In transaction SM21 in the R3 target system we see;
NiConnect Unsuccessful, Return Code: -0010
The attempt to establish a connection via NiConnect has failed. The
following system log entries specify the NiConnect parameters.
Check whether the target system or the target gateway are active.
What can we do to solve the issue?
Possible workaround:
Is there a possibility to use the IDoc metadata, we have imported via IDX2, in ESB in PI??
Thanks,

Jacques ,
You issue is quite strange!
Possible workaround:
You can always import the XSD of the IDoc and load it into PI as External definition.
In SAP system i think you can use t-code we60 to export the idoc schema.

Hello,
Have made the necessary System in SLD.
Once you have your software components defined in the SLD for a system.
Import the Software Component in the ESB,
When you import the software component till will ask you for the system details for R/3 mention those.
Then below your software component you would have imported objects, right click and follow the instructions.
This is should your problem
Regards,
Abhishek
