Alarm for delayed activities

Hi experts,

I want to trigger an alarm for delayed activities without using workflow. Following is my scenario.

Network activities contains 10 days to complete the activities. I want to trigger an alarm on 8th day to person who is responsible for that activity. Is there any standard config in SAP PS or can we use notification.

Hi,

I think you may write some background job with proper logic which can trigger this alarm. And set frequency for this Back ground job.
