Item Category for Semifinished HALB while creating BOM

Hi,

I am creating BOM for Finished good. The structure of which looks something like this:

BOM for Finished Good--> Semifinished good 1 + Semifinshed good 2

BOM for Semifinshed good1 --> Raw1+Comp1

BOM for Semifinished good2--> Raw2 +Comp2

While creating BOM for Finished good, which item category should be selected.

If I select 'L' the error is "Material type HALBcannot be used with item category".

Hi

I think you need to talk to your MM guys as by default HALB would be allowed as a Material Type in a BoM. There is configuration in the IMG to define allowed material types for BOM Items. They may have changed this setting for some reason, perhaps as they have defined a Z code Material Type for semifinished goods.
