I think it is a kind of bug in CCM. Please try to go ahead and everything should be ok if you set it with proper value.

If you have any further problem. Please post it in the same thread.

Thank you.

Hi Montz,

Paste the contents of VAS and VMS files.

Also, are you going ahead with default derby database?

what port numbers have you mentioned?

What is the type of configuraion selected for deployment? BES or mixed non, etc

Can you please give the details:

1. BOE / Mobile Server version.

2. Installation landscape - BES / Non BES etc. - better if there is a diagram

3. Send the config files (VAS\server.config and VMS server.config)

We can solve it quickly with these details.

Warm Regards

Hi Alexandra,

Check if the user has access on the Mobile 14 folder in the Business Objects insall directory.

Go to the folder properties and check what are the rights for the user.

Then try to configure the VAS and VMS again.

Post if you face any issues

Hi Atul

I have just Installed SAP Edge BI 4.0 SP2.

We would like to see the mobile output in Blackberry smartphone Simulator also in iPad.

Which option we need to select in SAP Business Objects Mobile Server Configuration Wizard ?

1. Blackberry BES Deployment

2. Non Blackberry or Non Balckberry without BES Deployment.

3. Mixed Deployment.

Thank you.

Hi,

you can select the 1st or the 2nd option.

however while mentiong the BES server you would have to mention the MDS simulator ip address.

MDS simulator has to be installed in order for the BB simulator to work.

Please refer this link

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/Set+Up+SAP+BI+4.0+Mobile+with+BlackBerry+Simulator

for ipad deployment, you need to paste the MobileBIService.war file in the webapps folder in tomcat.

thats it, no other server configuration is required.

download the ipad app from the apple store and do the connection settings, to connect the ipad to the BO server.

For admin guides, go to help.sap.com

Hi

Many Thank you Atul

I have downloaded and installed below software for Blackberry Simulator

BlackBerry Simulator_7.1.0.130_9860

BlackBerry_Email_MDS_4.1.2.17

I could not able to see "pending push messages"  when I started MDS. It comes as blank screen and closing soon.

Also When I started 9860 simulator. It hangs in the middle and no response

Any other configuration do we need to do ?

Thank you

Hi,

Any new questions should be directed to a new thread, this helps others to find solutions for a required link

Anyways, for your above query, MDS is trying to find the java_home path and it is not getting the same, hence it is closing down.

go to your java/bin, copy the path

create a new env variable JAVA_HOME and paste the path.

If the BB simulator hangs, then it can be a problem with the simulator itself, as they are provided by Research in Motion
