Database migration

Hello,

We are planning to migrate our SAP ERP 6 Ehp4/NW7.01 form Oracle 11.2 to IBM DB2 v. 9.7 database. When I did test migration using Heterogeneous System Copy I recognized that on the default installation source for EHP4/NW7.01 there is DB2 v9.1.

How to migrate from Oracle 11.2 direct to DB2 v.9.7?

Is it possible that I install DB2 v9.7 and make import with R3load direct to this version?

Exactly.

You install DB2 v9.7 and execute IMPORT direct to this version.

Hello Andrej,

yes this is possible. Have a look at SAP Note 1351160 - "DB6: Using DB2 9.7 with SAP Software".
