SAP .NET Connector

<b>Question (from ISV):</b>

Thanks for that link but I already have the PDK 2.0 for .NET installed and it doesn't appear to contain the SAP .NET connector. It contains a reference of Sap.Connector.PortalDestination but that does not appear to be the complete Sap.Connector as it does not give me access to the classes as described in the SAP .Net connector documentation.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e9/23c80d66d08c4c8c044a3ea11ca90f/content.htm

All the references I've seen to .NET Connector make it a stand-alone installation available in the service market place at http://service.sap.com/connectors which we can't reach. If we need seperate licensing arranged to use the SAP .NET connector please tell us what we need to do. Everything I'm reading indicates this is what we should use for establishing data communications between .NET apps and SAP.

<b>Answer (from ICC consultant):</b>

All of our licensed products can be download from http://service.sap.com if you have paid for Developer Package (DPA):

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn?rid=/webcontent/uuid/15330f73-0501-0010-d59e-8a32e220b2ed [original link is broken]

The cost is $7800 per year. If you believe you really need this, then you should get DPA. Some of our ISVs do purchase DPA just to be able to access the many software documentation there.

However, I do not believe you really need to go that route. If your system can send data via SOAP, HTTP, or flat files to SAP XI in flat or XML format, then all you need to do is the mapping in SAP XI.

Hello Jesbin,

Someone else viewing this forum might know your answer. But in the meantime, while you wait, you might want to also consider posting your question in the SAP NetWeaver .NET Technologies forum:

Users on that forum might provide what you need or you can do a search in that forum with your question.
