Steps for Deployment on Consolidation-System

Hello Experts!

I have got a question about the NWDI.

I have developed a JSP in NWDS 7.3.

After I have checked-in my activity, the central Build by the CBS started and my application was deployed successfully on my Development-System.

So:

- Do I have to release the activity in the "Transport View" in NWDS, to deploy my applicaiton on the Consolidation-System ?

- Is there a possibility to skip this step ?

- Do I have to click on the tab "Assembly" in the CMS Transport Studio on "Assemble Components", to deploy my applicaiton on the Consolidation-System ?

Thank you for answering.

Best regards.

1. you have to release it in transport view

2.in the consolidation table, select the activity and import, then the consolidation system will be deployed with the change.

Thank you for answering John.

Can you tell me, what exactly happends, when I click on the tap "Assembly" (in CMS Transport Studio), mark my activity and click on "Assemble Components" ?

Why should I do that?

Thank you.

Best regards.

it just pack your sc as SCA file(with new version number), which can be deployed to test and prd environment.
