Solution Manager 7 EHP1 SApinst Central system or distributed

Hello Experts

We are looking for informations regarding Solution Manager Sizing.

We used SSM_Sizing_ToolKit_V2_3 to determine SAPS, but what are the SAP recommandation regarding the installation via Sapinst, central system or distributed system ?

There is no recommendation that 'favours' either one of these - Central or Distributed. Both are supported by SAP.

But, for most of the customers, I have seen only the 'Central' system installation for Solution Manager. Solution manager normally doesn't need that much load and sizing and need to distribute the database and CI load between different servers doesn't arise (in most of the cases) when we compare it with ECC kind of systems.

BTW, if you are looking for 'New' installation/implementation of Solution Manager, then please go for latest Release - Solution Manager 7.1, unless there is a compelling reason to go for Release 7.0 EhP1.
