This is what actually the scenario is:-

Portal server database should not be used to store the data, it should be used for some other works like user management data etc.

In my existing environment , Portal application communicates to existing application which then connects to underline database.

The availability of existing application through which Portal is integrated, is not guaranteed to achieve certain accepted level.

So, in order to make Portal always run and do the basic required work, need to store some data in Portal database, so that users get good availability.

1.How to achieve it.

2. what are other realistic solution for the same?

2. How to put data into it and how to retrieve the data form there.

Yes, its not the preferred solution, but as external application is not reliable to support good availability, need to put some basic data alongwith Portal database.
