Hello,

I got the servers running but after some minutes the servers go down. In the logs I read "Outofmemory:heap".

I see heap is 1024MB, there will be problems if increase it?

Regards,

Barak

Hello Barak,

I am glad to know that the problem is solved.

Yes, in case you needed I can help you with std_server.out log.

Kind regards,

Barak,

Depending of your NetWeaver Version and usage type there are different memory configuration.

The default settings for 6.40 and 7.0 are described in note 723909.

For 7.1 and plus, there are Configuration Templates that you could chose based on usage type and set the memory for you.

Furthermore, out of memory could happen due to different reasons, and it is best if you could share the information that was written in the std_serverX.log from the work directory around the time of the out of memory error.

Best,

Thank you for your answers. The error did not happen anymore after following Blanca's recommendations.

If I have the error again I will follow the recommendations given by Ventsi Tsachev and give you what is written in std_serverX.log. Do anyone know how to read this log? For me it is difficult to understand.

Hi Barak,

1GB is not too much, indeed if the system is a 7.0 the recommendation is to set the heapsize to 2GB (2048MB).

I hope this helps you.

Blanca
