SAP Solution manager 7.01 EHP 1 Installation error

Hi,

We are installing solution manager 7.01 EHP1 on HP UNIX11.11 with MAXDB 7.7 database. But during installation step "Creating database" instance we are getting following error.

We are also getting same error even after trying for MAXDB 7.6.

We have checked SAP note relevant to this error (*1469675* ) and applied it. Still we are getting same error.

Could someone help me to resolve this. Every solution will be greatly appreciated.

Please check

XCMDOUT.LOG

in the installation directory.

Keep also in mind that HP-UX 11.11 is ancient and is no more sold since more than 2 years (see Note 939891 - HP-UX: End of Support Dates).

Also be aware, that there are performance issues with MaxDB on your HP-UX version:

If you're installing a new Solution Manager system I suggest you go for the newest version (Solution Manager 7.1).

Hello ,

During installation we are not getting XCMDOUT.LOG file in installation directory.

Even though HP UX 11.11 is ancient, we temporary want to install solution manger on it.

So can someone guide to resolve this error.

Hi Santosh,

Have you checked all the pre-requisities for HPUX 11.11

Please refer SAP Note 916644 for HP-UX PARISC system requirements

As per sap note 916644 , we met all OS requisites. We have confirmed with HP Unix administrator.

Please check XCMDOUT.LOG, without knowing what went wrong it's impossiblet o suggest something.
