Hello all,
Can anyone help me explain the exact diff between target day's supply and day's supply? I would appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Neha
Hi Neha,
Day's supply:is to determine for how long the available stocks and receipts will cover your requirements.

Target days' supply: is maintained in product master to determine the safety stock that has to be produced to cover the number of target days demand.

Hi Neha,
Manimaran already explained the difference to you.
To explain a little more, days supply is a value that would be calculated based on your receipts and demand situation. It is an output for you, system is telling you how long your stock would cover the demand (could be average demand or could be the actual demand, depending on how you configured your system)
Target days supply is an input from your side. You would like that when SNP planning plans supply for a particular bucket, it should create receipt elements considering demand for certain period in the future.
Thanks - Pawan
