GUI is getting crashed when pressing on display or change in se38

Dear gurus,

i am facing a strange problem. my gui session is getting closed when i press on diaplay or change in se38. i am not able to change or display any object through my PC. i am facing this problem since last one hour. earlier it was working fine. all this has happend suddenly.

i have uninstalled my gui and re-installed it, its of no use. its only happening in my PC. but if i log on in other pc i am able to do all the actions. what might be the reason.

Rakesh,

Please ensure that you are using the latest 7.20 patch 9.

Run an installation check after the install by using the command nwcheckworkstation and advise if any

errors are present.

Are you getting any MESSAGE_TYPE_X errors in ST22 from your crash?

If so,refer to the attached note below:

As you said i will update my patch level. before that i have run the command which u have suggested me. i have got 8 errors in 7.20 patch level 4.

below is the errors which i have got.

Hi Jude,

I have updated my patch level to 9. it's of no use. it was not able to fix my problem. after installing patch level i check the installation. there was no error.

Please suggest me. why this is happening.....

would any one update me on my issues ?. My exact problem is when i am opening ABAP editor, my gui is getting crashed even debugger also. Please help me out.

Hi Leon,

I am not getting any dump in st22. but i was able to see some dump with load program lost. i think load pro lost dump might not be related this issue. because immediately after the GUi crash iam not getting any dump in st22.

please try to uninstall and delete all folders from you pc such as:

X:\users\YourID\Documents\SAP

X:\users\YourID\AppData\Local\SAP

X:\users\YourID\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common

and etc... just perform a search will do.. you may need to backup our saplogon.ini.

Reinstall the sapgui again.
