OMO1 - Updating - Sales and Distribution : info Structures

Hello friends,

I have a problem in my system where i gets lots of ORA 60 Deadlock errors for S004 tables. I work in Basis area and do not have knowledge in SD.

However I have found SAP Note 1597100 - Deadlocks or lockwaits during the statistics update.

It says:

1. To do this, you must first switch the update method for the affected

information structure to V3 update in transaction OMO1. Select

"Asynchronous updating (3)" for the affected information structure in

transaction OMO1. Note that you should make this change at a time when

no posting is taking place to avoid double postings. The long text of

message M5 291 ("Change of update type to/from V3 update! -> Long

text"), which is issued by the system when you switch the update

method of an information structure to V3 update, contains more

information about this.

2. Afterwards, you must schedule a job at regular intervals for the

report RMCSV3VB to execute collective update. Choose a job period that

suits your business requirements.

Now I wast to ask you what will happen if we switch to V3 update for S004 table ?

Hi,

Here the V3 represents the Fiscal year variant,

V3 - from April - March

K4 - from Jan - Dec (calender year)

As per the Fiscal year variant the data will be showed in SIS.

Hi Ram,

I'm sorry.. i ask you again. Currently we have V2 for S004. so what will happen when i change from V2 > V3 or where i can see this in system.

V2 means , in sd v2 means -shipping /( out put condition it is use for header level).

so will conform it is for v3 or v2 :

sm004 is material ,

in omo1 u can use ficica year only , not out put appilication , in sm004 then assign to v3 -fisical year.

i think it earorr comes , when u enter omo1 and activate the sm004 and select period moth ,day ,week ....

and ofter fiscal year variant : k4, v3 bassed on ficial year assignment ,

so pl cheek fiscal year goto ob37 cheek ur company code fiscal year , and also check oby6: comapny code settings
