Hi friends,
I am new to sap-xi. I would like to begin my career with sap-xi. Could any one of you tell me the difference between the below questions in simple words:
1)Process integration and application integration.
2)What are proxies?
3)Difference between abap proxy and java proxy?
4)Difference between abap stack and java stack?
5)What is Marketplace in xi?
6)What are Tibets actually?
I would be very thankful to you, if any one of you provide the answers for the above questions in simple words(with two or three sentences) so that everyone can understand.
Thanks in advance,
P.krishna Prasad.

Hi,
2)What are proxies?
Proxies allow an Application System to directly connect to XI without using any Adapters.

3)Difference between abap proxy and java proxy?
ABAP Proxies are used to integrate XI and an R3 system and the proxy resides on the R3 system.
Java Proxies are used to integrate XI and a JAVA / J2EE application. java Proxies reside on the XI server.
4)Difference between abap stack and java stack?
Please go through the XI overview document and you will understand the enitre architecture of XI including ansswer to this question.
5)What is Marketplace in xi?
http://service.sap.com is the place where you actually log your problems and get them attended by SAP itself. It contains a plethora of information , documents and solutions.

Hi,
I think the Tibets you refer to may be the TBIT courses run by SAP for XI consultants.
Kind regards
Colin.
