No Stock Allocation

SD Gurus,

We have the follwoing problem.

- SAP allocates stock immediately for any sales order

- By the time one reaches the last order, one may have run out of stock

- Priority orders cannot be processed because available stock has already been pre-allocated to previous orders

The trigger for delivery process is an external system. Hence when delivery is processed for a order, there is no available stock for a that order as it's allocated to another order which will be shipped at a later date.

We need to understand,

1. What is the trigger for allocation of Stock. Believe Sales order ?

2. Is there a way to NOT allocate a stock when a order is craeted

3. Is there any other setup like Material drives this.

Really appreciate your feedback.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Bhavesh,

Welcome to SDN forum,

You can achieve this by turning off availability check at sale order and turn on at delivery level.

Go to T.code OVZI there select your item category and MRP type select requirement type 11 which is delivery requirement.

Go to OVZK activate availability check at delivery item category.

un check the availability at schedule line level.

Regards

Ram
