Hi All,

When I run Heuristic, I am seeing an error

" Transportation quantities of product xxx from loc. 1 to loc.2 too large"

What is the meaning of this and how do I rectify it. Please suggest

Try to define lot size in T lane or in product view (lot size tab).

Hi Mantosh,

I also thought of the same point but I am seeing that the in the same heuristi log, there are other products which have no lot size parameters maintained in product maste or Tlane but are still generating the reults and are not having any erros

Hi Sriman,

Have you assigned any lot size profile to the lane in the Product specific MOT area.

If yes, pls check the maximum lot size field value in the profile.

There is no Lot size profile maintained in Tlane except for TLB profile

HI Sriman,

Sorry for repeating the point.

There are two places in the Tlane itself where lotsize limits can be maintained.

1) product specific Transportation lane section - lot size from & lot size 2 fields.

2) Product specific means of transport section - Lot size profile

Please confirm if there are not lot size restrictions in both these areas.

Diagnosis

An error has occurred while planning product P1 (location 1) in the SNP heuristic. Possible causes are inconsistencies in the master data or transaction data, or processing errors in the heuristic's flow logic.

Procedure

Run a consistency check using report /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_CONS_CHECK .

Check the master data of product P1 (location L1) and of the objects belonging to it (PPM/PDS, transportation lanes, and so on).

HI Sriman,

Could you run the LCM cons check report and check?

This type of error is mainly when your SNP master data have some inconsistencies..

In such cases generally if you de-initialize and initialize the SNP plng area or run the LCM cons check report, it fixes the issues...

Hi SS,

If after running consistency check, your issue still exists, then also try out running /sapapo/OM17 - consistency check livecache APO DB . Give your planning version, and select the option of "product location combination". With the error message that you see, my guess is that you would most likely not need OM17 run, and consistency check /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_CONS_CHECK proposed in error message should resolve your issue.
