Suggested Value error!

Hi,

I'm trying to use the suggested values funcionality of Web Dynpro ABAP.

I created a simple example were the attribute value set if binded to a WDY_KEY_VALUE_TABLE were PERNR is the key and VORNA is the value.

It works well but not for all the cases. When I wrote *1111 is returns no matching data but I have a 10011111 PERNR!

Is tihs the real behavior of the funcionality or am I doing it wrong?

Hi Khaytaah,

Yes, this is webdynpro functionality, you field PERNR data element is NUMC, so for CHAR or NUMC it won't search the value, if you field data element is an INT (integer), then you can use '*" to search the value then it would work.

The solution for your issue is, you need to create OVS for the search help so that you have 100% control on your search help you can do "*" for the field PERNR eventhough it is a character field.
